Muncho Lake Lodge and RV Park

For those looking for more creature comforts there are a couple really great full service RV Parks just to the north.The first is located behind Muncho Lake Lodge and RV Park; also known as Northern Rockies Lodge. Here you will find a limited number of short hookup sites plus cabins and a 5 star lodge and restaurant too. Additionally is the amazing views and lakeside access of Muncho Lake RV Park.

Muncho Lake Provincial Park, B.C.

The two campgrounds located on Muncho Lake are part of the British Columbia Provincial Park System. Both of these, Strawberry Flats and MacDonald Campgrounds, are dry campsites that offer an exceptional northern experience. So if boondocking is in your list of camping experiences, be sure to stop at one of the two choices in camping on Muncho Lake listed below. Open May 1 through September 15 — gate is closed during the off-season; when snow falls.

MacDonald Campground, Alaska Highway milepost 460, has picnic tables, fire pits, pit toilets, picnic shelters and a boat launch. Campsites are well separated with plenty of privacy, the roads in both campgrounds are well maintained gravel as are the pads. There are a total of 30 campsites available between these two campgrounds on a first come basis.

Strawberry Flats Campground, Alaska Highway milepost 438, is a bit less developed, no boat launch, but offers a very relaxing experience with exceptional opportunities for outdoor adventures. picnic tables, Strawberry Flats Campground offers tables, fire pits and pit toilets to make your stay a pleasant one. Lake fishing can be pretty good from mid May to early June.
