Skilak Lake Road Campgrounds
Assuming you are approaching from Anchorage, turn left onto Skilak Lake Road at mile 58 of the
Sterling Highway. Almost immediately on the left is the turn for Jims Landing and boat launch along
the Kenai River. While fun to visit and a good place for sockeye fishing too, Jim's Landing offers
no camping at this facility.

Kenai Peninsula Campgrounds
These smaller campgrounds are great for boondocking and offer a quiet and scenic Alaskan experience.
No campground host is available nor are there services like dump stations; all but Jean Lake offer
potable water. What you do get is an authentic Alaskan outdoor adventure without getting what out
in the middle of the wilderness. Each of these campgrounds offers only 3 campsites a piece.
