The Denali Highway from Cantwell to Paxson Alaska.

The Denali Highway, covering 136 miles is one of the few reminiscences of the Alaska I remember and still portrays the nostalgic lifestyle of days gone past. Here you can find the rugged solitude that once was the norm along the country roads of this frontier state. You can stop by a family owned roadhouse run by real Alaskans striving to live a lifestyle that is disappearing all to fast. As the outside corporations continue to build massive resorts in once primitive, rugged and serene environments, for now, this windy and semi-rugged dirt road stands as a testament to a lifestyle that seems doomed to extinction. If your looking for a Walmart parking lot to park your RV in for the night, this road is not for you. If adventure and a glimpse into the richness of Alaska’s past is what you seek, don't pass up on the Denali highway as you will be missing out on one of the few remaining unspoiled highways open to travel in this great state we call home.
