Chena River Wayside

• Directions - From the Fairbanks Int. Airport follow along Airport Way to the light at Safeway and turn left (north) onto University Avenue go one block then turn left on Geraghty Ave. The park is on the right along the river.
• Description - Chena River State Recreation Site, also known as Chena River Wayside or China River Campground, is located in downtown Fairbanks on the banks of the Chena River. Chena River offers over 60 campsites for vehicles, 11 have electric and water hookup, five walk-in campsites for tent camping, a well kept group of dedicated picnic sites right along the river. There is drinking water available, restrooms with flush toilets, an RV dump station, boat launch, and established river side walking trails.
