Anchorage Alaska – The celebration is centered on the Delaney Park Strip located at 300 W 9th Ave, Anchorage, AK. The annual Anchorage July 4th Celebration begins with the annual pancake breakfast at 8 a.m. After gorging on mountains of pancakes it’s off to the festivities with the Anchorage 4th of July Parade that begins at 11 a.m. and followed by the Independence Day festival family friendly events. The Anchorage 4th of July celebration is open from noon to 6 p.m. and includes carnival rides, games, booths, vendors and lots of great food too.
- Chugiak-Eagle River Alaska: July 4 2015 @ 2PM The Chugiak Fourth of July Parade will be held starting at the Latimer fire station on the Old Glenn Highway and finishing at the Chugiak Senior Center.
- Girdwood Alaska: Girdwood Forest Fair is a family fair that has become an
annual event in the resort town of Girdwood, Alaska located 36 miles south of Anchorage. This year
event times are as follows:
- Friday July 3 ~ 11:00 am – 8:00 pm
- Saturday July 4 ~ 11:00 am – 8:00 pm
- Parade at 10:00 am
- Sunday July 5 ~ 11:00 am – 6:00 pm
- Seward Alaska: site of Alaska’s #1 Independence Day Celebration. The Mt. Marathon Race will take place on July 4 in Seward, Alaska. The annual Mt. Marathon Race is world-renowned, with three races throughout the day. Juniors, Women and Men run through downtown Seward streets on their way to the 3,022 foot Mt. Marathon where they run to the top and back down. Streets are closed and booths are set up for pedestrian and family fun. Mini-races for the extremely young, greased pole, egg and spoon, basketball two on two, are some of the types of things offered. Street vendors by the dozens will be offering souvenirs, knick-knacks, noise makers and toys all three days of the celebration. Kick off the Independence Day festivities with an exciting fireworks display on the waterfront at midnight (12:01 AM) on July 4th.
- Seldovia Alaska: No roads lead to Seldovia but don't let that fool you. The July 4th celebrations have been a popular destination for as long as I can remember.
- Skagway Alaska: July 4th celebration has been history making since Soapy Smith rode at the head of our first parade in 1898. Old fashioned family fun day with races, contests, and events for all to enjoy. Events include Slow Bike race, Pie Eating contest, Horseshoe tournament and Egg Toss.
- Wasilla Alaska: Old-Fashion Family 4th of July Celebration at in Wasilla, AK.
- Talkeetna Alaska: Talkeetna's Moose on Parade July 4th Parade will be followed by the Cardboard Boat Regatta at Christiansen Lake. Follow this up with the Moose Poop Drop at the Talkkeetna VFW at 7:00pm and then conclude the evening with some live music to be performed at the Fairview Inn.
- Fairbanks Alaska: July 4th Celebration at Pioneer Park located at 2300 Airport Way in Fairbanks, AK. Food, family activities, craft bazaar, entertainment, military colors ceremony and aircraft fly-over.
- Valdez Alaska: One of the real "Good Ole Days" family fun filled Independence Day celebrations left in Alaska. Street dancing, pie eating contests, Independence Day parade followed by a very special kid's bike parade, community picnic, bonefire & S’more roast, fireworks and more. Fireworks may be postponed this 4th of July due to a very dry summer and extreme fire danger. Seward has been given the go ahead for their aerial fireworks display over Resurrection Bay.
