Pratt Museum in Homer Alaska

The Pratt Museum in Homer, Alaska is a local museum centered around Kachemak Bay in the Homer area of Southcentral Alaska.

The Prett Museum dates back to Sam and Vega Pratt, for whom the museum is named. Their collection of items led to formation of the Homer Society of Natural History in 1955. In 1967, the museum was constructed on land donated by the Pratts as Homer's centennial project, celebrating Alaska's purchase from Russia. — Homer Tribune

Explore some of the local history at the Pratt Museum when you visit to Homer AK. The Harrington Cabin is part of the outside exhibits available to visitors of the Pratt Museum. The cabin exhibits life in the early 20th century surrounding the homesteading life while Homer was becoming home to some rather hardy settlers.
