Snafu Lake is a popular fishing and canoeing destination for Yukoners from Whitehorse and the surrounding areas. Pike are the primary fish and in Snafu Lake they're plentiful and grow fast in the shallow waters of this chain of small lakes. The boat launch is best suited to smaller boats as is the topography of the lake itself.

   

  • Directions – Located south of the community of Tagish, Snafu Lake Campground is accessed via Atlin Road. Atlin Road is gravel but well groomed and easily accommodates large RV's and long trailers. Located km 26 (15.6 miles) south on Atlin Road from Tagish.
  • Description – The Campground at Snafu Lake is a bit of a different story being best suited for smaller RV's or trailers. A small unimproved boat launch and parking area is available in the campground.

Snafu Lake Campground, Atlin Road Yukon

Fishing is popular with the locals in Snafu Lake with the main species being northern pike, arctic grayling and lake trout. The 10 campsites are rustic but do offer tables and fire rings. There is an outhouse and bear proof garbage receptacles at the campground and firewood is often made available for free.
